Fractured was painted to emphasise differences and to represent a slice cutting through our lives, breaking up preconceived ideas, shattering illusions. Contrasts are used to convey the disjointed state so are very evident in this acrylic painting. Different textures, hard and soft lines, curves and straight lines, graduated blends and blocks of colour.
